Importance of deliverance and exorcism in spiritual warfare
In the realm of spiritual warfare, deliverance and exorcism play a crucial role in breaking free from the chains of darkness and gaining victory over spiritual oppression. Deliverance involves the process of being set free from demonic influences and bondages, while exorcism specifically deals with casting out demons from individuals who are possessed. These practices are essential for believers to experience freedom and walk in the fullness of their spiritual authority.

Spiritual warfare is very important to the local church. The Bible tells us that Satan is the prince of the power of the air. That means that we are trying to dislocate Satan from the atmosphere of our city. But not just our city but also our the regions in which we occupy and have churches.
In Joshua 6:9, we see spiritual warfare going before the ark, which represents the Glory of the Lord in our church services.
Joshua 6:9
New King James Version
The armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets.
Spiritual warfare is a guard to the presence of God in our service. Without this spiritual warfare, we will not properly be able to host and carry the ark. The glory Glory will be attacked and through spiritual warfare, we protect the Glory, and through spiritual warfare, we protect it. By the power of spiritual warfare, we guard our churches from outside invaders like a house. Through the power of spiritual warfare, we break through the spiritual resistance over our region that is in the air. These Satanic agents that are over our cities are broken through and understand that we have been given authority over them as the local church. The church is also an embassy in a region that brings heaven into the region. One of the reasons this is foreign to most is because we look at the church as a hospital and not as an embassy.
The Church as An Embassy
As I was writing this book, the Holy Spirit began to talk to me about the purpose of the church in the context of spiritual warfare. The church is meant to be an embassy, not just a hospital. Many church leaders have taught us with good intentions that the church is a hospital. This is bad theology because hospital churches produce weak Christians who are constantly going to church to get medicated.
Many times, in a hospital peoplepeople in a hospital never get well, t. They are medicated until they die. This is what is happening in churches across the United States. Every week, believers are being medicated when, in reality, the church is supposed to be a place for the broken. But we are not supposed to stay broken, we must be trained for war against the kingdom of darkness.
What is the Purpose of an Embassy?
The purpose of an embassy is to assist citizens of its home country living, working, or traveling overseas. Embassy offices are typically located in capital cities and can offer multiple services to its residents abroad, including:
- Issuing emergency passports (if yours got lost or stolen).
- Replacing/renewing your passport.
- Issuing birth reports for children born abroad.
- Issuing death reports for residents who pass away abroad.
- Accepting ballots for elections in a person’s home country.
- Filing taxes in a person’s home country.
- Navigating foreign policy, legal, and medical systems.
- Assisting residents who get arrested or detained abroad.
- Notarizing certain documents for use in a foreign country or your home country.
- Assisting with emergency/evacuation situations.
- Embassies can help citizens from the foreign country they reside in become citizens of the country the embassy represents.
- Embassies also collaborate with local governments, businesses, and other organizations, and work with local citizens interested in traveling to the US.
So much was covered that I may be mixing this up, but I think when the Apostle talked about the way we view our warfare. Is it God causing the warfare, the devil, or us? If we are in a wilderness season, then no matter how many devils, we bind, we will stay at that pace.
We must understand the source of our warfare. There are seasons that we enter into, which are Job seasons. These are seasons in which we have been ordained or called to a certain trial. God might not have sent the trial as He did not send the trial in the case of Job.
Though God did not cause the trial, he allowed it to produce something in Jobs’ life. Other times, it is us who cause warfare through our own bad choices. I have certainly been there, in bondage to my own choices. In this season, we must allow warfare to make us more into God’s image or the image of Christ.
