Importance of Praise in Prophetic Ministry
In the realm of prophetic ministry, praise plays a crucial role in connecting with the divine and releasing the prophetic flow. Praise opens the heavens and creates an atmosphere for the prophetic gifts to operate effectively. When we lift up our voices in praise and worship, we invite the presence of God to dwell among us, which amplifies the prophetic anointing within us.
Praise also shifts our focus from ourselves to God, allowing us to align our hearts with His will and purpose. In the prophetic ministry, humility and surrender are key components for receiving and delivering accurate prophetic words. Through praise, we surrender our own agendas and allow God to speak through us, bringing edification, exhortation, and comfort to others.
Key Lesson Concepts:

- Praise shifts our focus from ourselves to God, allowing us to align with His will.
The Art of Praise
“Praise is God’s sunlight in the heart.
It destroy sin germs.
It ripen the fruit of the spirit.
It is oil of gladness that lubricates life’s activities.”
– Smith Wigglesworth
Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.
Hebrews 13:15 ESV
Did you know that praise is a weapon in prayer? I came from a powerful culture of praise growing up and entering the ministry in the African American church. We as a culture are known for our radical praise services. In this culture of praise I learned a valuable lesson that has stuck with me. Which is that praise is a weapon against the enemy. So let’s define praise. Praise is defined as to extol in words or song; to magnify; to glorify on account of greatness or the excellence of who God is. True praise is based on the worth of Jesus Christ. We praise Him because he is beautiful and deserves all our affection. The scriptures declare the Glory and majesty of the Lord in creation.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.
Psalm 145:3 NKJV
For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
Psalm 95:3 ESV
This is why we praise the Lord. Praise and worship is what we were created for. Praise breaks the yoke of bondage and brings us deeper into the presence. Radical praise brings us into a spirit of worship, and worship brings us into God’s Glory. There is an anointing on praise that brings deliverance, and breakthrough. Praise can also bring deliverance, especially praise that is centered on the beauty of Jesus Christ, we need authentic praise in this generation . David was a man of praise, when he was victorious over his enemy he began dancing unto the Lord. And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod 2 Samuel 6:14 (KJV). Praise is a weapon in the hand of one completely in love with Jesus. Who has made His presence their greatest heart cry. The scripture declares Praise the Lord, all people on earth, praise his glory and might. (1 Chronicles 16:28)
Praise is connected to the glory of God breaking into our lives. Praise releases the presence of God in the midst of the wilderness. There have been times of great wilderness in my walk with Jesus. Times in which all I could do was praise Him. I would praise my way out of bondage. Praise has brought great deliverance to my life. I am a worshiper and praiser like David, I love dancing before the Lord radically. As we praise and as we worship the Lord His Glory falls upon our lives.
As we learn to live in a state of continual praise unto the King. We will experience a release of the manifest presence and experience the Glory of God. Praise opens the second door leading to the Most Holy Place and the Glory of God. As we praise the Lord for who He is, His reality invades ours. Which is the atmosphere of heaven. Then we move into worship which is the final door into the Shekinah Glory of God.
Prophets and praise have a symbiotic relationship that is deeply intertwined in the spiritual realm. Praise serves as a powerful tool that prophets utilize to connect with the divine and receive revelations. When prophets engage in praise through worship, prayer, and thanksgiving, they create an atmosphere conducive to hearing from God. Praise opens the door for prophetic insights to flow freely, as it aligns the prophet's spirit with the frequency of heaven, allowing them to tune in to God's voice more clearly.
Furthermore, praise is not only a means for prophets to receive messages from God but also a response to the revelations they have received. Prophets often deliver messages that call for a response of praise and worship from the people. In the Bible, we see numerous instances where prophets such as David, Isaiah, and Jeremiah responded to God's revelations with songs of praise and thanksgiving. As they prophesied about God's faithfulness, goodness, and promises, their hearts overflowed with gratitude and adoration, inspiring others to join them in praising the Lord.
Ultimately, the relationship between prophets and praise highlights the importance of a lifestyle of worship and gratitude. Prophets are not just messengers of God's word but also worshipers who lead others into the presence of the Lord. By combining the prophetic gift with a heart of praise, prophets can effectively convey God's messages with power, conviction, and love. Aspiring prophets can learn from this synergy by cultivating a lifestyle of praise and worship, allowing them to hear God's voice more clearly and share His truths with boldness and humility.
